On arrival in Johannesburg today, a warm greeting awaits you at the airport. Spend the night at a nearby airport hotel.
Day 2 Kasane-Chobe National Park | Meals: BLD
Welcome to Botswana! Fly to Kasane this morning where you will be met and transferred to your luxury lodge. Settle in freshen up before heading out on your first game drive. Chobe National Park is known for its large elephant herds.
As the oldest 5-star Lodge in the area, and indeed in Botswana, the Lodge occupies an enviable position right inside Chobe National Park, giving guests a launchpad from which to explore the Park at first light. The early bird, as they say, finds the best game.
In 2014 we launched the first solar-powered boats and safari vehicles, creating silent safaris that transform the safari experience.
Nestled on the banks of the Chobe, under a canopy of trees, Chobe Game Lodge consists of 40 beautifully designed and spacious rooms and a further four luxurious suites. Every room is air-conditioned and has its own private terrace overlooking the Chobe. Suites have their own infinity plunge pools facing the river.
The main areas are relaxed and comfortably laid out, with two complimentary bars and numerous spots to dine.
Naturally the focus of the lodge lies with the majestic Chobe River, and the 250 meter boardwalk brings you up close to where the action is. Find a spot along the platform and settle in to watch colours change and the action unfold.

Day 3 & 4 Chobe National Park | Meals: BLD
Get ready for exciting game viewing, as you spend two full days exploring one of Botswana's most impressive parks - Chobe National Park. A boat trip along the Chobe River affords unique viewpoints of game, as you can observe them coming to the riverbank for water. Large herds of elephants - sometimes with the cutest little ones in tow - arrive for a drink and a bit of cooling off. Watch as the crocodiles sunning themselves scan the riverbanks. When you switch toyour safari vehicle, keep your binoculars handy, because the bird life is equally amazing as the mammal life. You'll be out all day today, stopping for a picnic lunch at a nice spot.

Travel by road into Victoria Falls and your luxury lodge nestled in manicured gardens, just minutes from the Falls. Later this afternoon, enjoy a relaxing dinner cruise along the Zambezi River, watching the sun slowly set along the horizon.
"Pioneers" is the latest gem in the accommodation offerings available in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. A short 2.5 km from the magical Victoria Falls, and situated in a peaceful residential suburb, this lodge is in an ideal location. The nostalgic era of the pioneer explorers has been perfectly blended with modern amenities to meet all the requirements of today's traveller. Under the hot African sun, well placed in the lush gardens are two swimming pools for the guests to use at their leisure. In addition to these, a day spa, TV Room and a meetings room are also available on the property.
Conservation and preservation of the environment are so important, and Pioneers is committed to being Environmentally Friendly. Carefully placed solar panels are used to harness the power of the sun and covert it to clean energy. Although not totally off the grid yet, most of the lodge runs off solar energy, backed up by generator as a contingency. Pioneers also supports local wildlife charities in aid of conservation, anti-poaching, essential research and anti-litter projects, all of which operate in the Victoria Falls region.
Notably, the guests at the Pioneers are at the forefront, and service is something the lodge prides itself on. You'll quickly see how fitting that name is as you witness more than 150 million gallons of water crash to the gorge below. Your walk takes you alongside the Falls, stopping at vantage points along the way to get a different perspective and great photos!

Day 7 Hwange National Park | Meals: BLD
Take the Elephant Express into Hwange National Park. You will take a road transfer to the Dete Railway stop, where you board a special railroad car, outfitted with comfortable seats and tables. Enjoy game viewing as you travel to your lodge in Hwange National Park.
Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe and has one of the highest mammal diversity of any national park in the world. You will likely see impressive herds of buffalo and elephant, but you might also spot one of the other 100 species found in Hwange: dwarf mongoose, bat-eared fox, spotted hyaena, eland, roan antelope and even white rhino. Your time is not structured in Hwange - you can select up to 4 game viewing activities each day.
Camelthorn Lodge is nestled into a beautiful forest adjacent to Hwange National Park's famous Ngamo Plains. The lodge is unique in style and design and has a particularly meaningful story behind it-built for and by the community whose land it calls home.
An ancient Camelthorn tree, the property's namesake, is the centerpiece with the main lodge and eight beautiful villas flowing around it. Birdlife is equally impressive in Hwange and you might spot the Red-billed Spurfowl, Cut-throat Finch and Southern Pied Babbler. During the summer months, the resident birds are joined by migratory birds like Southern Carmine Bee-eaters, Broad-billed Rollers and Abdims Storks. The Hide has the best of both worlds - while it is located within Hwange National Park, it is also surrounded by a private concession, which allows activities you might not find at other camps. You can relax in the morning and game view in the afternoon or perhaps do an early morning game walk. Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed.
