Day 2 LUSAKA-LOWER ZAMBEZI-CHONGWE CAMP | Meals: BLD
A morning flight takes you into the heart of Zambia and Chongwe Camp on the forested riverbanks of the Zambezi and Chongwe Rivers. Your Ranger meets you at the airstrip for the ride into camp. After a delicious meal and time to settle in, depart on an afternoon game viewing activity.
Dotted along the forested riverbanks, Time + Tide Chongwe Camp is surrounded by wild beauty. Set at the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers against a beautiful mountainous backdrop, the camp offers the best views in the Lower Zambezi.
A grove of towering winterthorn trees creates a shady haven for the camp below. Guests aren't the only ones that enjoy them though - elephants frequently wander through camp to feed on the many seed pods dropped from above. Each tent offers panoramic views along the Chongwe River. Sit out front in comfortable lounge chairs and watch the abundant wildlife visiting the banks to drink and graze on the lush grasses.
Cotton linens, local textiles and handcrafted furniture blend seamlessly with organic fixtures, all designed to make the most of what Mother Nature has provided. The tents feature comfortable beds, ceiling fans, charging points and spacious, open air bathrooms.

The Lower Zambezi National Park spans over 1,500 square miles of pristine wilderness and hosts over 378 bird species and 60 mammal species. More than 75 miles of the park in along the Zambezi River, attracting a host of wildlife to the shores as they drink water. As you venture into the park, you will see abundant elephant, hippo and a diversity of plains game. And, thanks to the rich food source, healthy populations of leopard and lion are also found here. And much to delight of safari-goers, wild dog is common here as well. The pace here is yours to set. There is much to do if you want. Or, relax and soak in the views right from camp. In addition to
morning and night game drives, take a walk with one of the experienced guides; glide along on a canoe safari or try your hand at catch and release tigerfishing.

Day 5 SOUTH LUANGWA - NSOLO OR LUWI CAMP | Meals: BLD
Fly to the South Luangwa this morning where your Ranger will be waiting to take you to your choice of Nsolo or Luwi Camp. Nsolo is the quintessential "barefoot luxury" experience, with spacious suites set on wooden platforms, all overlooking thee surrounding bush. Luwi Camp is set deep in the national park on the Luwi River, wonderfully remote with no other camps for miles around. This is walking safari heaven. After a wonderful meal, set out on an afternoon game-viewing activity. Along with morning and night game drives, this is a perfect place to take a walking safari.
Day 6 SLEEPOUT CAMP UNDER THE STARS SOUTH LUANGWA | Meals: BLD
Enjoy your morning game viewing activity and time to relax in camp. Later this evening, reconnect with nature as you spend the night under the brilliant stars. Enjoy afternoon tea and then set out from camp on a walking safari. Arrive at your sleepout camp in time for sundowners, dinner and stargazing around the campfire. Then, tuck into the comfy tents falling asleep gazing at the million stars shining above. Wake with the sunrise tomorrow.
Day 7 SOUTH LUANGWA | Meals: BLD
Wake with the sunrise at your sleepout camp and enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee with breakfast before departing the sleepout camp on your morning game viewing activity. Your'll return to Nsolo or Luwi Camp in time for lunch and your late afternoon game activity.
Day 8 SOUTH LUANGWA | Meals: BLD
The South Luanwa is one of the greatest wildlife sancturies in the world. Thanks to its vast size (over 3500 square miles), you can game drive all day and not find another vehicle. The concentrations of game you will find along the meandering Luangwa River are amont the most intense in Africa. The river teems with hippo and crocodile and on game drives or walks, you will search for over 60 species of mammals and 400 species of birds. Predators and plains game are abundant, and most exciting, African wild dog populations are strengthening here.
Day 9 LUSAKA-DEPART | Meals: B
It will be hard to say goodbye to the bush today as your light aircraft flight takes you to Lusaka to begin your journey home. Or, why not extend a few days and visit Victoria Falls? It's easy to add an extension - ask us for details
