Day 1 Arrive Nairobi
Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2 Nairobi | Meals: BD
Enjoy a leisurely morning. Later this afternoon, visit the Karen Blixen Museum, former home of the famous author of "Out of Africa". After time to stroll around the beautiful grounds, enjoy a fun visit to the Giraffe Center where you have the opportunity to feed the Rothschild giraffes. Later this evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel.
Day 3 Nairobi-Samburu | Meals: BLD
Your journey takes you north to delightful Samburu National Reserve. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive. The Uaso Nyiro River cuts through the reserve, attracting a rich variety of wildlife in search of water and shade. Leopard are frequently spotted in Samburu, so keep a look out!
Day 4 Samburu | Meals: BLD
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives today. Of particular interest in Samburu are the indigenous species such as the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy's zebra (look for the "oversized" ears) and the gerenuk which stands on its hind legs to feed from the top branches of bushes and trees.
Day 5 Samburu-Aberdares | Meals: BLD
Drive south today into the Aberdare mountain range for a night at a tree hotel. After settling in, relax on the verandah and watch for animals as they come to the waterhole to drink and to scratch for salt.
Treetops is the original tree lodge, and is world famous for its location facing a water hole and a salt lick in the Aberdares National Park as well as its historical royal connection. The lodge lies at 6,450 feet above sea level.
In 1932, its first visitors gingerly climbed the wild fig tree supporting the two-room tree house. In February of 1952, a young English girl climbed the tree as a Princess one afternoon, to descend the following morning as Queen Elizabeth II --her father, King George VI had died during the night.
The lodge rises straight out of the ground on stilts.

Day 6 Aberdares-Lake Nakuru | Meals: BLD
Your journey today takes you into the Lakes region. An afternoon game drive under the shade of acacia trees in Lake Nakuru National Park may reveal lesser flamingoes along the lake shore, along with Rothschild giraffe, black rhino, dik dik and much more.
Situated in the south east ecological niche of the Lake Nakuru National Park is the Lake Nakuru Lodge, an oasis of comfort and excellent service, with commanding views of the Lesser Flamingo dotted with the Greater Flamingo, for which Lake Nakuru is justly famous. It is another world for the visitor, one where a person easily forgets the hustle and bustle of the city. The lodge blends well with it's surroundings and the animals often browse peacefully close to the lodge and environs, much to the fascination of the visitors.
The Lake Nakuru Lodge is situated in a wonderland which lies in the heart of one of Kenya's most densely animal populated wetland National Parks (Ramsar Site), only two hours leisurely drive - on first class roads - from Nairobi, through some of the most exciting scenery to be seen anywhere in Africa. The 156 Km Nairobi-Nakuru road gives the visitor an unrivalled view of the majestic Great Rift Valley, winding through a series of Lakes and forested uplands all the way to the bustling market town of Nakuru. The views are equally impressive for the visitor who uses a charter aircraft for the 25 minute flight to the Lake Nakuru National Park airstrip situated at the Southern side of the park at the Rhino Sanctuary Headquarters - Naishi.

Day 7 Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara | Meals: BLD
Leave the Rift Valley today and enter the Masai Mara, Kenya's most famous reserve. Have your bird and mammal checklist ready this afternoon, as you will surely complete most of your game-viewing list while in the Masai Mara.
At the southern end of 1,510 sq km Mara paradise, and right in the path of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra, lies Keekorok Lodge. There is always plenty of activity around the waterhole but during the migration, the lodge is enveloped by the swarming mass of animals. One need hardly venture from ground to game view. From the verandah and from Kiboko Bar, there is plenty to see. One unfortunate zebra met its end right in front of the dinning room, providing supper for a pride of hungry lions, and 'live' entertainment for enthralled guests at Keekorok.
Accommodation at Keekorok Lodge is in bungalows, single story blocks, and in comfortable shaded chalets. The liberal use of cedar wood, pink and gray sand river stone, and other indigenous building materials offset the green lawns and colorful bougainvillea. After a day in the fresh air, the excitement of game spotting, a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, and the ritual of sundowners by the roaring log fire in the lounge heralds an evening full of traditional Maasai dancing, cultural or wildlife lectures and videos with yet another of those remarkable Keekorok dinners.

Day 8 Masai Mara | Meals: BLD
On morning and afternoon game drives today, you will likely spot a wide variety of game including zebra, gazelle, impala and hyena. Birdlife is prolific in the Mara - watch for the colorful lilac-breasted roller.
