Arrive in London this morning where you will connect to the onward flight to Cairo, arriving late this evening. Upon arrival you will be warmly greeted by your host and escorted to your hotel.
Day 3 Sun Cairo | Meals: BL
Begin the day with a visit to the Egyptian Museum and its priceless antiquities including King Tutankhamon's Treasures. After lunch, visit Cheops' Pyramid and the Sphinx.
Day 4 Mon Cairo-Luxor Embark Cruise | Meals: BLD
Fly to Luxor this morning. Upon arrival, cross the Nile to Luxor's West Bank, to visit the Valley of the Kings and Queens where some 64 of Egypt's Pharaohs have their palatial resting places hewn into the sheer rock. Embark on your cruise vessel and have lunch before visiting Luxor and Karnak Temples.

An exhilarating carriage ride takes you through town to the Temple of Horus, the Falcon God. Return to your ship and sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Graeco - Roman style Temple of Sobek, the Crocodile God. Later, sail to Aswan.

This morning, visit Aswan's Old and High Dams, the ancient Granite Quarries, and the Temple of Philae. After lunch enjoy a sail around Elephantine Island.

Day 8 Fri Aswan-Abu Simbel-Cairo | Meals: BD
Disembark after breakfast and take a short flight to Abu Simbel to marvel the temples and colossal statues of Ramses II and his wife Queen Nefertari. Later, fly back to Cairo.
Day 9 Sat Cairo-Taba Heights | Meals: BD
We cross the Red Sea early this morning and continue by motorcoach to the Sinai Peninsula, which contains great stretches of extraordinary desert scenery. High granite mountains and deep chasms form landscapes that resemble the surface of the moon. As you drive you'll also pass fertile green oases where Bedouin tribesmen bring their sheep and camels for water.
Day 10 Sun Tabea-Aqaba-Wadi Rum-Dead Sea | Meals: BL
A ferry ride takes us to Aqaba and a ride through Wadi Rum, one of the world's most spectacular desert landscapes. Set in the south of Jordan, Wadi Rum is a feast for the senses. Huge mountains made of sandstone and granite rise up more than 5,700 feet. Narrow canyons carved into the mountains reveal amazing ancient rock drawings etched by ancient residents of the desert. After a jeep ride in the desert, we arrive at the Dead Sea for the night.
Day 11 Mon Dead Sea-Madaba-Mt. Nebo-Petra | Meals: BL
Our first stop today is at Madaba, "City of Mosaics" where we visit St. George's church and the 6th century Byzantine mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites. Mt. Nebo is presumed the site of Moses' death and burial place. The view from atop this mountain, encompassing the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the spires of Jerusalem, are stunning. We arrive in Petra late this afternoon.
Day 12 Tue Petra-Taba Heights | Meals: BLD
There is nothing that can prepare you for the feeling you have when you first see Petra. It it Jordan's most exciting site and you will quickly see why. The city was carved out the craggy rock mountains by Nabataean traders more than 2,000 years ago. You'll be amazed at the dramatic Treasury and the sheer size of the gigantic Monastery. After lunch, your drive takes you back to Aqaba for the ferry crossing to Taba and overnight.

The day is at leisure to enjoy the sun and perhaps partake in some of the water sports and activities at the hotel.
Day 14 Thu Taba-St. Katherine Monastery-Cairo | Meals: BL
Your imagination will be captivated as you drive into the wilderness en route to St. Katherine's Monastery. It is believed this is the area through which Moses led the 12 tribes of Israel out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. The Monastery is an isolated place filled with rich treasures. It was built by the Byzantium emperor Justinian at the request of the Sinai monks who sought protection against nomadic raids. It is at the foot of Jebel Musa, on the traditional site of the Burning Bush. The church contains the great Mosaic of the Transfiguration of Christ and the Library is considered second in importance only to the Vatican Library. Return to Cairo late this afternoon.

An early flight from Cairo arrives in London where you continue on your USA-bound flight.
